UGADI CELEBRATIONS (Telugu New Year’s Day)
Every year on this day the Sangham celebrates Ugadi(Telugu New Year’s Day) most traditionally. The programme starts with the favourite subject of ‘Panchanga Sravanam’ followed by Veda Swasti by Vedic Students. A person is selected every year, who serves the community at large is falicitated as ‘Visista Vyakthi’. The vedic students(around 50 nos) later are honoured with traditional clothes. After that poor ladies(30 to 35 nos.) Are presented with sarees. The programme concludes with savouring of traditional ugadi prasadam(Ugadi Pachadi).
